Hatching Sands

The cavern's entrance is between the Weyrling Barracks and the Candidate Barracks, the northernmost exit from the Weyrbowl. When a clutching dragon lays eggs here, she will almost always stay with them, relying on the clutchfather to bring her food except when she feels the urge to spread her wings. Bleacher-style seats wrap around the exterior, except for a series of five rooms carved for use of the clutcher's rider. Half of the roof is stone-covered; the other half has ample space for winged witnesses to gather around the rim or- if they dare- to swoop in and land.
