Though the temperature on the ground from 02.12 to 02.22 is between 30 and 40 degrees it can seem colder with the windy system moving through the area. Almost every night, sleet falls and freezes onto the ground. But direct sunlight clears it up by mid afternoon. That just leaves the ground muddy and gross.
The river is nearing its seasonal high, threatening to overflow the banks with the meltwater runoff. When spring begins for real it may well cause flooding as northern areas melt also.
