Kogran nodded as he listened. Most of what they were saying made sense to him, but there still seemed to be more to the concept. He could be nice; Kogran was rarely ever outright mean to anyone. Well, intentionally, anyway. Yet he had been reprimanded (not at Sunset yet, thankfully!) for not being respectful enough.
"I treat people how I wanna be treated...." Kogran said, running his finger around the top of his cup of klah. "But it seems like some people wanna be treated as more important. I guess that's it." he said, feeling like he had run into the missing puzzle piece.
"The greeting and bowing can be annoying. I guess that's what I never understood."

Eavan nodded her head wisely. "Yes, there are always those certain people that through whatever power, has gotten into higher positioned ranks and they demand people acknowledge that rank." Eavan understood the importance of rank, but unlike some people she also knew the importance of people not of rank. It took all positions to make a place run smoothly. She just wished everyone could see that as well.
She smiled at Kogran, he really was a good kid. "Remembering the correct bow or greeting is more difficult, but the more you do it the faster you'll learn it. Don't worry, you'll get the hang of it eventually and then it'll just be second nature to you." Her klah was almost gone by this point.
"Julim, do you need any help with the food? I'm afraid I don't have any other chores to get done at this moment, neither does Kogran. Extra hands are always helpful." She asked. Eavan hated to be sitting around idly if there was something she could help with.
